Your name is the brand

Your handle is the first thing anyone sees, and unlike your bio you can't quietly rewrite it — change it later and every mention, bookmark, and search result pointing at the old one goes cold. Pick something memorable and easy to say out loud; a name nobody can type or pronounce never gets shared.

Make it specific enough to actually search. A common word buried under a million unrelated results might as well not exist, and you want people to find you, not a stranger who grabbed the obvious version first. Claim the identical handle on X, Discord, and Telegram before you post anything real — nobody should be able to squat it once you start gaining traction.

And like the rest of your presence, it should reveal nothing real: no legal name, no employer, no city. Check availability everywhere first — a rebrand three months in costs you every bit of momentum you built under the old name.
